Rewarding our Private customers

With our Reward Black account, you can earn Rewards on selected household bills and your everyday spending. That’s 3% back on your council tax, gas, electricity, mobile, phone, TV and broadband. That means for every £100's of household bills you get £3 back. Monthly fees and terms apply.

Once you've earned Rewards, you can choose from three great ways to redeem them: change your Rewards into money, exchange Rewards for gift cards from retailers and change Rewards into money for charity.

Worldwide travel insurance that covers you and your family for trips of up to 90 days (including 31 days for winter sports) (Underwritten by U K Insurance Limited).

What's included?

- Worldwide travel insurance that covers you and your family for trips of up to 90 days (including 31 days for winter sports)
- Cover for you, your partner and dependent children who are under 18 (or under 23 if in full time education) at the start of the journey. Children must be living at the home address (or with the other parent), and be neither married or in a Civil Partnership
- Emergency medical expenses, transport, cancellations, baggage and more
- No upper age limit

 

What you need to know

- Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered, if you would like to extend your cover to include these, please call us. We may ask you to pay an additional premium or we may not cover your condition
- Your partner is the person you, the account holder, live with at the same home address in a relationship, whether married or cohabiting

What you need to know

- You need to have your pass to get into the lounge (joint account holders will both need their card)
- We automatically sent you your priority pass card when you opened your Black Account.

Mobile phone insurance

Your phone is covered for loss, theft, accidental damage and if it stops working (Underwritten by Aviva Insurance Limited).

What's included?

- You're automatically covered but we recommend that you register your handset to make the claims process quicker
- Worldwide cover for your mobile phone against loss, theft, damage or breakdown. Please note if you're outside the UK we won’t replace your device until you return
- Covers up to four phones for the account holder, their partner and dependent children
- Four successful claims during any 12 month period (£75 excess applies)
- Unauthorised calls following loss or theft for up to £2,500 (inc VAT) for monthly contracts and £100 (inc VAT) for pay as you go customers
- Accessories covered up to £250

 

What you need to know


- Devices with a screen size more than 7 inches are not covered
- Our replacement phones are refurbished models and include a 12 month warranty.  

 

How do I make a claim?


- All claims must be reported to the insurer as soon as possible, but always within 60 days of discovering the loss or other incident
- If your phone has been lost or stolen, you must contact your network provider within 24 hours (48 hours if you're outside the UK)
- If your phone is stolen, you should inform the police and get a crime reference number as soon as reasonably possible

Green Flag provide UK & European Car Breakdown cover which includes returning you and your vehicle to your home address in the UK and options to get you to your destination if your vehicle can’t be fixed (Underwritten by U K Insurance Limited).

What's included?

- UK and European roadside assistance 
- Homecall cover and recovery service to a destination of your choice if your car can't be fixed

What you should know

- Cover for vehicles you own that are kept and registered at your home address
- Covers anyone driving or travelling in the vehicle
- Outside of the UK, European cover only applies for vehicles less than 16 years old at the start of the trip
- Maximum of 5 call outs in any 12 months
- Doesn’t cover any repair costs once the insured vehicle has been transported to a garage or repairer
- If a repair cannot be completed by the end of the working day we will arrange for transportation, a hire car or local overnight accommodation – conditions apply

What's included?

- 24/7 cover up to £750 (inc. VAT) for home emergency call-out and repair
- Local tradesman fix plumbing problems, gas or electricity failure, water failure, and broken or damaged windows

 

What you should know:

- Excludes boilers over 10 years old, or with an output over 75kw
- No cover for homes unoccupied for more than 60 consecutive days
- This is not a home insurance policy, nor a maintenance contract
- You don't need to pay the tradesman as we will instruct the repairers
- Cover for the account holders main and second home in the UK (excluding properties you rent out). Exclusions apply

Black Ticket Service

Book through us to receive 25% cashback on tickets for concerts, theatre shows, musicals, operas, sporting events and more throughout the UK and Ireland.

What's included?

- Order up to six tickets through the booking service for each event, up to four bookings a year

 

What you should know:

- You can order more than six tickets, but you will pay full price for any additional tickets
- You can't resell your tickets and must also be attending the event
- Cashback is calculated on the full price of the ticket including fees and will be paid into your account within 30 days 
- Tickets for sporting events can only be booked online

The Reward Black credit card could be the perfect partner for your Reward Black current account. You can earn 1% Rewards on your purchases in supermarkets (0.5% at their petrol stations). You also won't pay any foreign transaction fees when you use your credit card abroad.

Representative 33.6% APR (variable)

Annual fee applies and is then refunded if you have a Reward Black current account.

To apply you must be 18 or over, a mainland UK resident and earning over £15k p.a.
