Eligibility criteria

Royal Bank of Scotland Private is available to all customers with a sole income of at least £100,000 paid into their Royal Bank of Scotland account, or minimum outstanding mortgage borrowings with us of £300,000, or savings and investments of at least £100,000 held with us.

To apply you need to be a mainland UK resident, aged over 18 and earn at least £15,000 p.a.

With Reward Black you earn with every pound you spend. Receive 1% Rewards on spend at MyReward retailers, 1% at Supermarkets (0.5% at their petrol stations) and 0.5% everywhere else you shop. Plus until 31st March 2017 earn an extra 1% Rewards on all contactless transactions and Apple Pay payments of up to £30 in stores.

We'll refund the annual fee for your Reward Black credit card if you also have a Reward Black current account. Monthly fee and eligibility criteria apply to the Reward Black current account.

Annual fee

We’ll charge a £84 annual fee when you first use your Reward Black credit card account (for example, by making a purchase or a balance transfer) and then each following year on the anniversary of that date.
 

Annual fee refund

If you hold or open one of our Reward Black current accounts, we’ll refund any annual fees that are charged to your Reward Black credit card account while the current account remains open.  Each annual fee and refund will show on the same monthly credit card statement.

We’ll not refund all or part of any annual fee charged to your credit card account before you open a Reward Black current account, or after it is closed.

To get a Reward Black current account, you need to be aged 18 or over and UK resident, with either (i) £100,000 of annual personal income (paid into the current account); (ii) a Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage of at least £300,000; or (iii) £100,000 of Royal Bank of Scotland savings and investments.  £28 monthly fee applies.
