Setting up the mobile app
In a nutshell
Our mobile app is all about giving you more control of your finances. Check your spending mid-shopping spree, or pay a bill from the back of a taxi - you're in charge.
App available to customers with Digital Banking and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries.
What you'll need
Before you start you will need the following:
You'll need to be registered for Digital Banking before you can use our app. If you're already registered, you can get started straight away
Register for Digital Banking
Your 10-digit customer number (it starts with your date of birth (ddmmyy), followed by four digits)
Your 4-digit PIN (This is a 4 digit number which you will have chosen when you registered for Digital Banking or telephone banking)
Your step-by-step guide:
Enter your mobile number. We'll send you a text with an activation code. After you've read the app's terms and conditions you'll be asked to enter your activation code
Create your passcode. Once you create your passcode you'll need it every time you want to use the app. It should be between 5 and 8 characters long
Enter your customer number. This is the 10-digit number you receive when you set up Digital Banking or telephone banking. It starts with your date of birth (ddmmyy), followed by four digits.
Enter characters from your PIN. We never ask you for your full PIN or password, but the app will ask you for certain numbers from your PIN and a few characters from your password - just to make sure it's you.
