The Current Account Switch Service will do all the work when it comes to switching, moving everything across from your old account all within 7 working days, including Direct Debits and standing orders. All you need to do is tell us the details of your old bank account and when you want the Switch to start.

What are Rewards?

Rewards are our way of giving you something back. Get rewarded on 7 types of household bills paid by Direct Debit. Your Reward balance can grow quickly, they’re easy to earn and they’re easy to exchange.

How do I earn Rewards?

You’ll earn 2% on eligible household bills paid by Direct Debit and at least 1% at our partner retailers.

How do I exchange Rewards?

It’s easy. Once your balance has grown to at least £5, we’ll give you a choice of what you can do with them. You can bank them, trade them or donate them to one of our chosen charities.

We're changing how you can earn Rewards

On the 1st Febraury 2020, instead of earning 2% back in Rewards on household bills, you'll earn £4 a month back in Rewards for 2 or more Direct Debits - 2 of those Direct Debits need to be at least £2 each. Plus, earn an extra £1 a month back in Rewards with 1 mobile app log in.

That's up to £5 a month in Rewards to spend on whatever you like!

How to apply online

RBS - Step 1

Apply online

During the application we'll ask for information about you such as your address, job etc. So have these ready.
RBS - Step 2

Provide your ID

You'll need to provide proof of your ID and address. You might be able to do this online, look out for an email from us.
RBS - Step 3

Check your details

We'll check we have everything we need to open your account. Look out for your new debit card in the post.
RBS - Step 4

Your account is open

Start using your new account. Log in to Digital banking and download our mobile app to bank on the go.

Ready to apply

You can apply if you are:

Aged 18+ and a UK resident.

To earn Rewards you need to log into Digital or Mobile Banking at least once every three months
