Existing customers moving home
Take your mortgage deal with you
Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up your repayments on your mortgage
If you already have a Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage and you're looking to move home, then you may be able to take your existing deal with you.
Your new mortgage application must be completed prior to redeeming your current mortgage.
Most of our deals are portable, which means that if you are an existing mortgage customer you could take your rate with you if you move. To port, you'll need to qualify for a new mortgage and not have a gap between selling and buying of more than four months. Other conditions may apply - to discuss your porting options, book an appointment with an adviser.

Because you are an existing mortgage customer, we want to make it easier for you to stay with us when you move home. This means you will probably not pay an early repayment charge when you take your existing rate to your new mortgage.
